THE PARTNERSHIP, EXPLAINED
Frequently asked questions.
From the first conversation to product ownership, here is how the partnership works.
What is PursuitPacket?
PursuitPacket is a product partner for established creators. We identify potential product opportunities inside creator audiences, build products around those opportunities, and help bring them to market.
Who is PursuitPacket for?
We are primarily interested in creators with:
- An established audience.
- Real engagement.
- Recognizable expertise or subject matter.
- Recurring audience questions or needs.
- A credible opportunity to build something useful.
- Follower count alone isn't enough.
Is there a minimum follower count?
There is no universal cutoff. Audience quality matters more than the number alone. A focused creator with 40,000 highly engaged followers may present a stronger opportunity than someone with 500,000 passive followers.
Do I pay upfront?
Under the core partnership model, there is no upfront PursuitPacket development fee. The commercial relationship, responsibilities, ownership, outside costs, and revenue participation are agreed before development begins.
Does that mean there are no costs at all?
Not necessarily. Depending on the product, there may be third-party costs such as:
- Platform charges.
- Payment-processing fees.
- Software.
- Hosting.
- Specialized services.
Those are handled according to the written partnership agreement. "No upfront fee" refers specifically to PursuitPacket's development compensation under the partnership model.
How does PursuitPacket make money?
PursuitPacket participates in the revenue generated by the product according to the agreement established before development.
What is the revenue split?
There is no universal percentage published for every partnership. The appropriate structure depends on the opportunity, expected work, creator participation, outside costs, rights, and ongoing responsibilities. It is agreed before development begins.
Who owns the product?
Ownership, licensing, usage rights, source materials, and continuing rights are documented in the partnership agreement before development. Nothing should be ambiguous once work begins.
Do I need a product idea?
No. In many cases, we'd prefer you didn't force one prematurely. We start by understanding the audience.
What kinds of products can you build?
Potential formats include:
- Guides.
- Workbooks.
- Toolkits.
- Templates.
- Resource libraries.
- Calculators.
- Assessments.
- Simple interactive products.
- Digital utilities.
- Learning products.
- Hybrid products.
The correct format depends on the audience problem.
Do you build full software products?
Potentially, where the opportunity justifies it and the scope is appropriate. Not every audience problem needs software. We choose technology based on utility rather than novelty.
Do you build courses?
Potentially. But PursuitPacket does not automatically turn expertise into a course. If a simpler product solves the problem better, that's what we should build.
What do you need from the creator?
Typically:
Audience access through public creator channels and agreed information.
- Subject expertise.
- Relevant source material.
- Feedback.
- Approvals.
- Reasonable participation during product discovery and launch.
- The creator's voice matters.
Will you need access to my social-media passwords?
Not as a default part of understanding your public audience. Any account access that becomes legitimately necessary for an agreed implementation must be explicitly approved and handled appropriately. Never send passwords through the public contact form.
Do you guarantee revenue?
No. No legitimate partner can guarantee how a market will respond. The PursuitPacket model instead aligns incentives so our financial outcome is tied to the product's performance too.
What if the product doesn't sell?
That is part of the commercial risk both sides accept. The agreement should define applicable responsibilities and rights. We can also learn from the available launch and audience signals rather than pretending every initial hypothesis will be correct.
Can I just hire PursuitPacket for a normal project fee?
Potentially in the future or in special circumstances, but the primary PursuitPacket proposition is the shared-upside creator partnership.
What happens after I submit my audience?
We review what you send. If we see a potentially interesting fit, we continue the conversation and investigate the opportunity more deeply. Submitting does not obligate either side to enter a partnership.
